I became a member of the church May 7, 1969, and preached my first sermon at age 11. I am a song leader, preacher, and anything needed in worship other than carrying Communion trays. I have served as an elder, but am not qualified at the moment, not having a wife.

I am combat injured from the Navy, and had a mini-stroke 10 years ago. This lost my ability to exercise, got me out of shape, and makes me tremble. Other than this, I am fairly healthy. There are two age related issues that are controlled well with medicine.

I am strong in the faith. I am about as conservative as you can get without crossing over the line into anti-ism.

I have three children; the oldest of which just moved to college yesterday. The youngest is 11.

I am too young to be a widower. I want a wife who is willing to accept the Biblical role of a woman in the house. I want a wife who is Scripturally eligible to be married. I want a wife who will cook when I can't, and will stand beside me when I can as we explore our culinary desires together. I want a wife who can teach organization to my children, one quality my late wife was missing. I want a wife who is willing to do whatever it takes (so long as it is legal, moral, ethical, and Scriptural) to make the home a comfortable place with sufficient resources to sustain a functional home.

I want a wife close to my age, but younger. However, due to a lack of potential matches, I am willing to take a younger woman. I will consider the age ranges of 27-47; again, the upper end of that scale is preferable. I want a wife who as a wife is comfortable with her God given desires; not someone ashamed of them. I want a wife who is comfortable in ultra-casual clothes around the house, but who cleans up well for outside events.

I believe that ἀγαπάω love (unconditional) is a conscious decision. If you and I are compatible, this type of love (upon which a successful relationship can be built) will receive all the attention I can muster. I believe that φιλέω love (brotherly) is naturally present between us already by virtue of your being a member of the church. I believe that ἔρος love is in the eye of the beholder. You and I must both be appealing to the other and enjoy seeing the face of (and enjoying the proximity of) the other every morning and evening for the rest of our common days. This must be present instantly; the rest can grow with time.

I want a wife who will submit, knowing that her every desire will be fully considered before any decisions are made.

I am retired, and I want a wife who can accept me in that lifestyle. This includes the fact I have found my retirement home and do not want to leave it.

Below are my pet peeves:

• Not following rules (especially from God, but any acceptable rule or law)

• Worshipping idols (whether inadvertently or on purpose)

• Nosiness

• Gossip

• Constant and excessive intrusion by family

• Dishonesty in any form or quantity

• Being dissatisfied with the gifts provided by God; whatever they may be

• Blaming others unjustly

• Unwillingness to admit shortcomings

• Willful ignorance in any subject

• Unfaithfulness to God

• Unfaithfulness to me and our family

• Conscious decisions that Scripture really doesn't mean what it clearly says

Again, I want a wife who is willing to change her beliefs and practices to match the Word of God, regardless of what anyone (parents, siblings, preachers, commentators - literally any person) says, does, or did.

I cannot offer the world or many earthly possessions. What I can offer is better help in getting to Heaven than most men can or will give.
